Rare Palace Nimcha sword of very high quality dated 1850 made in Fez.(see stamp)

Gold gilded silver mountings.

Horn grip.

The guard is of iron overlaid with flowers and foliage in gold.

The blade is slightly curved, singled edged and ends up in a spear point. On both sides is a fuller. The upper part of the blade is decorated with gold overlay on a dark, possibly blued ground. 

Sword measures in scabbard: 105 cm or 42 inches

Without scabbard: 104 cm or 41,6 inches

Blade: 88 cm 35,2 inches
